Bilateral Meeting Between the SFIS of the Kyrgyz Republic and the NAMLCFTC of the UAE Held on the Margin of the EAG Plenary Week in Minsk

On 27 November 2025, during the Plenary Week of the Eurasian Group on Combating Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism (EAG), held in Minsk, Belarus, a bilateral meeting took place between Mr. B.A. Alisherov, Deputy Chairman of the Financial Intelligence Service of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Mr. Abdurahman Al Nuaimi, Head of the Strategic Partnership Department of the National Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism and Illicit Organizations Financing Committee (NAMLCFTC) of the United Arab Emirates.

The meeting focused on issues of technical assistance that the UAE could provide to support the Kyrgyz Republic in its preparation for the third round of EAG Mutual Evaluations. The UAE delegation confirmed its readiness to extend comprehensive support to Kyrgyzstan, including—where necessary—the provision of software, equipment, and other resources.

Mr. Al Nuaimi also informed the Kyrgyz side about the planned participation of His Excellency Hamid Al Zaabi, Secretary General of the NAMLCFTC of the UAE, in the Technical Assistance Coordination Meeting scheduled to take place on 4 December 2025 in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic.

Cooperation with the UAE and the exchange of expertise are of strategic importance for the Kyrgyz Republic, given that both countries will undergo upcoming rounds of Mutual Evaluations within the frameworks of the EAG and MENAFATF in 2026–2027.
